Terms of Service

1. The Gist

CareerStack is a professional residency platform. You join as a trainee, work on real projects, and (hopefully) leave job-ready. This isn't a traditional course — you'll be treated like an employee, which means deadlines, standups, and code reviews. If that sounds intense, good. That's the point.

2. Accounts

You're responsible for keeping your account secure. Don't share your password. Don't log in from random devices. If we notice suspicious activity (like 20 failed logins in 2 minutes), we'll rate-limit or block the IP. If you lose access, hit us up and we'll sort it out.

3. Acceptable Use

Use the platform for its intended purpose: learning, building, and collaborating. Don't use it to:

  • Spam or harass other users
  • Upload malicious files or scripts
  • Scrape data or abuse the API
  • Pretend to be someone else
  • Try to break things intentionally (unless it's part of a security audit you told us about)

4. Content Ownership

Anything you build during the program — code, designs, docs — is yours. We might use anonymized snippets for marketing or curriculum improvement, but we won't ship your personal projects without asking.

5. Termination

We can suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. If you're inactive for over 6 months, we might archive your data. You can delete your account anytime from the settings panel (or ask us to do it).

6. Liability

The platform is provided "as is". We do our best to keep it running, but we're not liable if something goes down and you lose work. That's what git commits are for. Back your stuff up.

7. Changes

We might update these terms occasionally. If we do, we'll post a notice in the dashboard. Continuing to use the platform after changes means you accept the new terms.

8. Contact

For legal stuff, reach out to hello@careerstack.dev. We respond faster than most enterprises.
